Eh. I remember the deep disappointment I felt hearing this show back in the tape days. Very average show, I thought, and the least interesting of August '71. And the Good Lovin' doesn't come close to any of the April versions. The rowdy NY setting didn't produce much magic this time...

Nonetheless, the show seems quite popular these days, so I must be missing the special vibe! And I admit people who like their Phil loud & boisterous will especially like this mix, along with other Aug '71 shows where he's up quite high in the mix.

I think 8-14-71 is head and shoulders better than this show. I'm also not a big fan of 7-2-71 which I find uneventful however Cliff & Tell (amongst others) rate this show high...
